The special effects makeup master Bob Kurtzman transformed me into "the Moonlight Man" for "Gerald's Game", directed by Mike Flanagan after a Stephen King story.
Roughly a year after the shoot, Bob sent me this beautifully sculpted life-sized bust of the character. It seemed to be the perfect object to learn about 3D scanning, which turned out to be much more difficult than I had expected. I finally got it done by combining a digital scan (using a Kinect scanner) and photogrammetry.
